A child’s brain develops more in the first five years of life than at any other stage. At TCA, teachers create an environment that nurtures the social and emotional well-being of all students so that effective learning can take place. TCA’s research-based early childhood program introduces students to the world of learning and a love of God.
TCA is deeply committed to providing an excellent education focused on the whole child through strong academics and before- and after-school programs that enhance learning and creativity. Our curriculum follows the Massachusetts State Standards and focuses on preparing students to succeed. At every grade level, students receive:
TCA’s Upper Campus continues the call to excellence begun at the Lower Campus. Our program is designed to meet each student’s spiritual, cognitive, socio-emotional, and academic development needs. Students are nurtured to develop a love for lifelong learning and a mindset for success.
All students participate in enrichment programs to develop art, music, physical education, library, and technology skills. Full-time music and arts teachers meet with every classroom once a week.
Every year, graduating Grade 8 students are accepted to many great local high schools. 64% of this year’s graduating class will be attending Catholic high school next year. Graduates have enrolled in the following high schools:
The caring and loving environment and support that I received allowed me to not only succeed academically but to thrive and grow as a Catholic young woman.
– Ariana Rodrigues, TCA Class of 2013
The Academy works to ensure that its students develop knowledge and values of the Catholic faith and a capacity for lifelong learning, spiritual growth, and compassionate social engagement. A Catholic Faith Formation curriculum is used at all grade levels and Catholic values are emphasized in curriculum.
TCA offers an Extended Day Program at both the Upper and Lower Campuses to provide a safe and active environment for our students. We consider our program an extension of the school day, encouraging learning through many different programs that build upon our curriculum.
For children entering preschool through Grade 4, TCA offers a two-month summer program. The program is open to TCA students as well as those attending other schools. The Summer Program incorporates elements of academic foundations and also includes hands-on, experiential learning, guest performers, field trips, arts and crafts, and structured time for play and peer-to-peer social interactions.
Proper nutrition is vitally important to a student’s ability to focus and learn. TCA offers a lunch program as well as a breakfast program to provide healthy and nutritious options for students.
Breakfast and lunch are provided by Chartwells Educational Dining Services.
